Biographie :
Il est auteur-compositeur-interprète et guitariste. Il a été un des membres fondateurs des groupes The Jam puis The Style Council avant d’entamer une carrière solo dans les années 90. Il est considéré dans son pays comme un des musiciens les plus importants de la musique pop rock1. Sa carrière internationale est cependant restée relativement plus discrète. Weller a été par ailleurs la figure de proue de la renaissance du mouvement mods.
