Biographie :
Gabriel James Byrne (né le 12 mai 1950) est un acteur, réalisateur, producteur de cinéma, scénariste, ambassadeur culturel et narrateur de livres audio irlandais. Sa carrière d'acteur a débuté au Focus Theatre avant qu'il ne rejoigne le Royal Court Theatre de Londres en 1979. Byrne a fait ses débuts à l'écran dans le feuilleton irlandais The Riordans et dans la série dérivée Bracken. L'acteur a maintenant joué dans plus de 35 longs métrages, tels que The Usual Suspects, Miller's Crossing et Stigmata, en plus d'en avoir écrit deux. Byrne a produit le film nommé aux Oscars In the Name of the Father. Actuellement, il reçoit de nombreuses critiques élogieuses pour son rôle du Dr Paul Weston dans la série dramatique de HBO In Treatment.
